Colour is intense, vibrant crimson. Rounded aromas of ripe mulberry fruit are supported by lifted juniper and citrus. Palate is full and juicy, with initial berry sweetness followed by lingering herbal and peppery complexity.

Ripe mulberries are so delicate and susceptible to crushing that we employed a specialist team of Riverland kittens to gently pluck fruit with their velveteen paws. The tart-sweet juice bombs were steeped in juniper and orange zest base, then basket pressed to extract the essential best.
Mulberries are harvested in October – November for this seasonal treat. Pure cane sugar spirit is infused with juniper for 48 hours, then Riverland orange zest takes a brief dip. The liquor is copper post distilled, retaining the refined ‘heart’, before whole mulberries are introduced and steeped for five days. Gently finished with our basket press and a final filter.

Lena Baumgartner, Adelaide born and raised is a self-taught artist. She is navigating through creativity and finding joy in herself as an individual through art while raising two little humans. She paints in a modern abstract expression to display her emotion and events of the time. She likes to used bold and energetic colours in her art that evoke emotions for the collector. When she is not painting, Lena is a yoga teacher and a keen yoga practitioner with a strong interest in the importance of mindfulness. A lot of Lena’s inspiration for her bright colour combinations come from memories of scuba diving beautiful reefs overseas and experiencing different colourful cultural foods.
