Set in the heart of the Riverland, 23rd Street Distillery offers a destination experience that brings together heritage, craftsmanship and contemporary hospitality. Located within a restored 1914 distillery, the site invites guests to experience a living piece of South Australia’s distilling history, reimagined for today.
From immersive tastings and long lunches to relaxed outdoor gatherings, each space offers a distinctive way to connect with the venue, the region and one another. Whether visiting for a casual afternoon or a special celebration, guests are welcomed into an environment that is both refined and authentically local.
VISITOR CENTRE
The Visitor Centre sits at the heart of the distillery experience, blending historic architecture with modern design. Original features, including the building’s scale and exposed beams, have been carefully preserved to create a space that feels both impressive and welcoming.
Surrounded by the atmosphere of a working distillery, guests can enjoy guided tastings, dining and curated events grounded in craftsmanship and storytelling. It is a place where history and contemporary hospitality sit naturally side by side.
COURTYARD
The Courtyard offers an intimate open-air setting framed by the distillery’s historic buildings. Undercover, it balances industrial character with relaxed elegance to create a sheltered yet connected space.
Well suited to pre-dinner drinks, shared dining and private celebrations, the courtyard shifts seamlessly from bright daytime gatherings to warm, ambient evenings.
FRONT LAWN
Expansive and inviting, the Front Lawn reflects the relaxed pace of the Riverland. Set against the distillery’s heritage backdrop, it provides an ideal setting for larger gatherings, outdoor dining and cocktail-style events.
Guests can spread out, settle in and enjoy the surroundings while experiencing the distillery in a more casual open setting.
The Tanks Private Dining
The original wine tanks have been transformed into striking private dining spaces, offering a truly distinctive experience for small groups. These restored structures honour the site’s winemaking heritage while delivering comfort and exclusivity.
Encased in history and designed for modern dining, The Tanks provide a memorable setting to celebrate, dine and toast within a space that is uniquely 23rd Street Distillery.

RESTAURANT
A distillation of local flavours and modern inspiration
The Distillery Restaurant at Twenty Third street distils fresh Riverland produce, artisanal goods and modern flair into a relaxed, contemporary dining experience. Italian-trained Chef Andrea prides himself in authentic, traditional wood-oven pizzas. Expect creative use of our Twenty Third Street spirit flavours, local indigenous ingredients, international influences and family-friendly choices.
